This very handy compact thermometer displays the air and water temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius scales. You can choose to show either the outdoor or indoor temperature. The temperature is announced hourly from 7 AM to 9 PM. This thermometer also has the ability to announce the indoor and outdoor temperatures at a preset time for use as a wakeup alarm. The first product received was defective. I received a second thermometer. This worked for ambient temp. measurement but when the probe was placed in water it showed very high temps. I was informed by the supplier that although labeled as a water thermometer it was not to be used in water. I have returned both instruments and am awaiting refund.

Shipment of merchandise was timely. Wife has poor vision and felt this item would be helpful. Thermometer died within 6 months. Even new batteries could not revive it. Would suggest trying a different brand, I would not purchase this one again.

I was delighted to find this thermometer but that wore off rather quickly when I got it home and found it doesn't work. It kept measuring my temperature at 91-93 degrees F. I tried it on someone else with the same results. There are no directions on how to troubleshoot but I found the pin I think resets and pressed it. That didn't help either. Love having to return things to a shop in a really busy part of Atlanta!
