This very handy compact thermometer displays the air and water temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius scales. You can choose to show either the outdoor or indoor temperature. The temperature is announced hourly from 7 AM to 9 PM. This thermometer also has the ability to announce the indoor and outdoor temperatures at a preset time for use as a wakeup alarm. Since the probe is waterproof, it can be used to test the water temperature in a tub, pool, aquarium, refrigerator etc. Operates on two AAA batteries (not included). The dimensions are 4.25 inches tall x 3 inches wide x .75.

This review is from: Talking Digital Indoor/outdoor and Water Thermometer The first product received was defective. I received a second thermometer. This worked for ambient temp. measurement but when the probe was placed in water it showed very high temps. I was informed by the supplier that although labeled as a water thermometer it was not to be used in water. I have returned both instruments and am awaiting refund.
